Who started it?
Indrajeet Sen, then a 16-year-old Class 12 student of the Calcutta International
School operating under the London University was an active member of quite a few online bullet forums from where he had met many bulleteers, most of them are his good friends now.
Through these groups he came across an All India Ride for Peace and Unity which was organized from Delhi. Being in Class 12 then it was rather difficult but finally he was allowed to participate after a lot of convincing back home. He was always an adventurous young boy and the idea of motor biking across the country was thrilling. Not possessing a license or a bullet at 16 he was made the official photographer of the ride. It was the best experience he had, living on the road for a continuous stretch, spending nights at Dhabas, sleeping by the roadside at 2 in the morning due to a flat tyre, these are experiences one cannot really put down in words.
How & When was it started?
During the ride with Chandan , Solomon and Joy all the three kept on digging it into Indrajeet that since he has so much passion for the bike he should go ahead and start the Calcutta club, they were quite sure he could put up a great show. And once he
was in Calcutta , he formed the first club of its kind in the Eastern Region early January 2003 and named it the “Kolkata Bullet Stampede” but since the name was to long they shortened the name to “Eastern Bulls” and it was Amit of The Wanderers [Hyderabad Bullet Club] who came up with the name. The group finally took form on the 8th Of February 2003.
However after starting the club he thought he needs a bike. Indrajeet’s brother who is also an active member of this club now had already got hands on his new 500 at Nagpur. And though Indrajeet was not 18 yet he simply could not accept the fact that being the founder and the moderator of the club he would be going for club meets in a 4 wheeler.
Gathering a lot of courage he shot a mail to his dad since he did not have the courage to go and tell him that he wanted a bike. Anyways, surprisingly enough the very next day Indrajeet’s dad simply asked him which one do you want, and his answer was obviously a 500 but then he did not want Indrajeet to get a 500 so he readily settled for the Machismo not letting the opportunity to wash out.
The above is a detailed write up from Indrajeet’s early day
